Rapper Jay Z Sued for allegedly infringing Streaming rights for Prince’s Music

Jay-Z made a request to buy a few songs belonging to the late Pop star Prince at $40million but his family turned down his request and refused to sell the songs to him. Well, it seems like Prince’s family had their own reasons for turning down Jay Z’s offer. New reports from TMZ state that the leadership of Prince’s label NPG Records has sued Jay Z’s Roc Nation over alleged illegal tidal streaming.

Jay Z and the late Prince

A new report states that Tidal claims to have exclusive streaming rights for Prince’s music which is not the case. The complaint attained by Pitchfork argues that tidal is exploiting most copyrighted Prince Music and that they were never given full streaming rights for Prince’s music. It further asserts that Tidal was only given a 3 months period of exclusively streaming Prince’s 2015 album HITNRUN phase one.

However, Roc Nation did not hold their part of the deal and went ahead to stream all Albums of the late star. NPG records have not stated the amount of cash they want compensated to them by Jay Z but rumor has it that they might demand a fortune. Some of Prince’s albums that have allegedly been streaming on tidal illegally include, Pop Life, Purple Rain, 1999, Little Red Corvette, I wanna be your lover, Controversy, Cream and many more.

DNA test proves Prince is not the father of prison inmate

A DNA test has determined a Colorado prison inmate is not the son of the late music legend Prince, a source who was briefed on the test results told NBC News Wednesday.

Carlin Q. Williams, 39, through his attorney in early May claimed he was Prince's son, which if true would have entitled him to at least part of Prince's estimated $300 million estate. A second source also confirmed to NBC News that the test result was negative.

Williams' mother, Marsha Henson, wrote in a court affidavit that she had unprotected $ex with Prince, whose full name is Prince Rogers Nelson, in a Missouri hotel room in 1976.
Henson told The Associated Press in a brief interview that she does not believe the reported test results.
"I don't believe that. I think they're positive," she said.

Medical Examiner: Prince died of an accidental overdose of Fentanyl

The music legend died of an Opiod overdose. Read the exclusive report from TMZ below...
"Prince died from an opioid overdose ... it's now official from the Midwest Medical Examiner's Office, and the drug is even more powerful than Percocet.
The M.E. performed toxicology tests on the singer and determined the singer died of an accidental overdose of Fentanyl -- a powerful synthetic opiate that is more potent than morphine ... often used for cancer patients to deal with severe pain.
Fentanyl is often used to treat people who have developed a tolerance to less powerful opiates such as Percocet and morphine.

And this is important ... there were several reports Prince had either AIDS or HIV, but the report says there were no "other significant conditions" that led to his death ... clearly refuting the stories.

According to the report ... Prince was discovered fully dressed ... wearing a black cap, black shirt, gray undershirt, black pants, black boxer briefs and black socks.

Also interesting ... Prince weighed a petite 112 lbs and stood 5'3" at the time of his death. Prince was addicted to Percocet.

His addiction was so bad his people called a rehab doctor in California to get him emergency help. The doctor's son flew out to Minnesota and was in the Paisley Park compound -- with a backpack filled with synthetic opioids -- when the 57-year-old singer was found dead. The doctor's son, who is not himself a doctor, denies giving Prince any of the pills.

Man who claims to be Prince"s biological son pictured

A man claiming to be Prince’s biological son has been pictured for the first time and is demanding a DNA test to prove the late star was his father.

Carlin Q. Williams is 39-years-old and has now filed legal papers claiming that Prince was his daddy.
He claims that his mother - Marsha Henson - met Prince at the Crown Center Hotel in Kansas City, Missouri in July 1976.

According to TMZ, Henson claims that she had wine with the star and had unprotected $ex.
In a signed affidavit, Henson claimed that she didn't have $ex at all with anyone else during the six weeks before and did not have $ex with another man during her pregnancy.

He is currently incarcerated at a federal prison in Colorado for weapons transport, according to ABC.

Up to 700 people have claimed to be Prince's half-siblings in a race to stake a claim on the star's $300million fortune.
Hundreds of people have come forward since the death of the Purple Rain singer two weeks ago.

"Secret love Child" of Late Prince starts legal battle to prove paternity

A man claiming to be the secret love child of Prince has began legal proceedings to prove his paternity and could inherit a slice of Prince 's multi-million fortune if the allegation is found to be true.
According to Radaronline, Heir Hunters International has confirmed it is working on the case of an unidentified man in his 30s whose mother allegedly had several liaisons with the singer in the 1980s and according to them he's got a strong case.

The singer, who passed away on April 21 age 57, died without a will or an heir leaving his fortune to be divided up between his nearest relatives.
The alleged man is in his 30s and lives in the Midwest according to the Heir Hunters and when he contacted the organisation claimed his mother had several encounters with Prince during the 1980s.
According to the duo the man didn't seem "crazy" and said there was something about the man's case that stood out:

"The way we approached everything was just completely different than what we had seen. He wasn't looking for that 15 minutes of fame. It wasn't a crazy story and it really started piecing together.
"He's very nice, not crazy. He’s somebody who's not star-struck crazy or wants to be famous. Not at all."For now, he plans to stay away from the current court proceedings, but likely will come forward after more research is done, they claimed. "We're at the beginning stages in a way,” Mansukhani told Radar.

See What did Prince tell Charlyboy before he died

The past few weeks has really been memorable for those who love and appreciate the musical icon, Prince. He's still mourned by many around the globe. He motivated and shaped many stars into what they have become today.

Part of the numerous celebrities and ordinary people whom Prince touched, is our own CharlyBoy The AreaFada. This is what CharlyBoy had to say about the brief encounter he had with Prince.

"It was way back in the early eighties as a groupie with a backstage pass. In the same room with Prince? I may have walked away that night with only a handshake, but it was a handshake that changed my life for the better. It awoken a desire to be an entertainer like this Demi god that just shook my hand..
From that night, I became an avid fan. I read and followed any news on him, I listened with wrapt attention. The more I researched him the more I fell in love with him, you can take that literally. If I ever had any gay tendencies, he would have been the one I would have given my body to, even though Prince wasn't gay. That's how deep my love is for this beautiful soul. Rumors circled him because he had such a defiantly outlandish persona with a sexuality as ambiguous as it was voracious. Oh my Prince"

In the loving memory of the late Prince, CharlyBoy is out with a tribute song for his late idol, Prince. A highlife rendition of one of Prince's popular songs, "Kiss"  Typical of Charlyboy he has decided to make his version free and available to all, insiders are seeing this gesture as a teaser to CharlyBoys great come back move to his first passion, music. Rumour is agog that The AreaFada is in the process of releasing an EP cd of his current songs where he featured some notable top Naija artiste. Listen and enjoy The AreaFada's version of KISS by the late Prince.

Prince Death::Woman Comes Out Of Woodwork For Chunk Of Fortune

Prince's riches might get split 7 ways instead of 6 because a woman is claiming she's entitled to a cut of the late singer's multi-million dollar estate.
Lawyers for Darcell Johnston filed legal docs in Prince's probate case saying she's a beneficiary.
Sources close to Prince's family tell us Darcell is claiming to be a long lost half sister ... same mother, but different father from the singer. We're told some members of Prince's family only learned of Darcell's existence a few days ago.
We broke the story ... Prince didn't have a will, so by Minnesota law his estate should be split equally among his 6 surviving siblings.
As special administrator of the estate, Bremer Trust bank will look into the legitimacy of Darcell's claim, although the court will have final say.
We've reached out to Darcell to see if she had any relationship with Prince. So far no word back

Mad Scramble to Cash In On Famous Image of Prince

A free-for-all has erupted over the right to sell merchandise with Prince's mug.
We did some checking, and turns out there's no particular law in Minnesota that protects a person's image after he or she dies. Translation ... when Prince passed away last week, there's nothing in the law specifically prohibiting any Tom, Dick, or Harry from plastering Prince's face on t-shirts, socks, posters, key chains and all things cheesy.
It's way different from places like California and Tennessee, where courts and legislatures have given the estates of dead celebs the right to go after people who try and make a quick buck off famous images.
Fact is ... Minnesota hasn't been home to that many deceased international celebs, so it looks like the courts have never had to deal with protection of images after death.
As a result, there are a bunch of fly-by-night companies that are hawking R.I.P. Prince gear.
We're told Prince's siblings are aware people are profiting off Prince's image, and they're considering filing a test case. It's unclear how the Minnesota courts will rule, but for now it's the Wild Wild West in the Midwest.

Prince Carried off Jet by Bodyguard After Emergency Landing

Prince was in such bad shape when his jet made an emergency landing 6 days before his death, he had to be carried off the plane by his bodyguard ... TMZ has learned.
We've obtained an incident report from the Moline Fire Dept. which responded to the pilot's call for medical assistance. Although Prince's people claimed he was suffering from the flu, our sources say it was actually a life-threatening Percocet overdose.
According to the report, Prince's bodyguard carried the singer off the plane to emergency responders who had already arrived.
Prince was put in an ambulance which then raced to the hospital, accompanied by a firetruck.
As we reported, Prince was in such bad shape when he landed, paramedics gave him a "save drug" at the airport.

Prince diagnosed with AIDS weeks before his death-Report claims

Music icon Prince was “preparing to die for a little while” after being diagnosed with AIDS, The National ENQUIRER reports.
According to Radaronline, the paper reports that Prince was “preparing to die for a little while” because he had been diagnosed with AIDS!
A music industry source interviewed by The ENQUIRER messaged friends on April 19 to reveal Prince had full-blown AIDS.
“He was in bad shape“Doctors told Prince his blood count was unusually low and that his body temperature had dropped dangerously below the normal 98.6 degrees to 94 degrees,” said the source.
“He was totally iron-deficient, very weak and often disoriented. He rarely ate and when he did, it all came right back up.”
In another bombshell revelation, a well-placed insider said Prince had been making runs to a local pharmacy to pick up bags of prescriptions to quell the unbearable pain he was suffering from what was reported to be influenza.
An employee at the Walgreens that served Prince told The ENQUIRER,
“We were all just shocked that he came in last night looking so beat. We said, ‘We are praying for you.'”
Prince’s response? “He said, almost under his breath, ‘Maybe if you prayed for me a year ago it’d be different right now.’ Then he waved and said thanks anyway.”
According to the worker, Prince often picked up his own meds and toiletries at the drugstore chain near his Paisley Park estate.
“The last night, though, we sensed he was in trouble. One girl said he had foreign medication and thought it was Zika virus or something, but my friend who knows the meds says he’s sure it was HIV meds.”
“I wouldn’t say he’s like a part of the family but he came in and always showed interest in us,” added the employee of Prince.
And now the Prince’s loved ones are showing interest in hiding the true cause of his death. According to the insider, Prince’s family is already banging on coroner’s door and demanding officials heavily redact any public autopsy report “to spare family, friends and fans” any information “about his lifestyle that’s sure to come.”
