Michele Obama and her daughters were joined by actress, Meryl Streep as they joined other members of the Moroccan royal family for a traditional Moroccan iftar, a dinner to break the fast during the holy Muslim month of Ramadan at King's Palace in Marrakesh. The first lady is on the second leg of a six-day trip to Liberia, Morocco and Spain to promote education for girls. In Morocco, only 36 percent of girls continue school beyond the primary level.
