Ali Kiba forced to take to the stage again after causing drama with a 5-minute lack lustre performance at Chris Brown concert

Clearly, something must have been eating him up… Bongo legend Ali Kiba took to the stage and DISAPPOINTED revelers who paid a whopping Kes 10,000- and more- to attend the Mombasa Rocks concert.
Unlike it had been earlier communicated, that the concert would start by 2pm, the real action started at around 7pm. Ali Kiba was first on stage but he didn’t perform; he tested the mic for two minutes then disappeared backstage.

“Dumbala” hit maker, Jay A, was the first one to drop a performance followed by some forgettable dude with a fake American accent then Nazizi, Navio, Vanessa Mdee, Wizkid, Ali Kiba, Chris Brown then Ali Kiba again… in that order.
After Wizkid’s performance, one hour almost elapsed before Ali Kiba finally took to the stage. It’s not clear what was happening but the DJ kept the audience entertained with a cocktail of both secular and gospel music.

Then came the moment; Ali Kiba finally pops on stage with his dancers and starts singing “Mac Muga” as the audience dances to the tune.

But wait a minute, Ali Kiba’s trouser is almost falling down, he has sagged his trouser and his belt is unfastened. Is it the new swag?

The Tanzanian singer then switched from “Mac Muga” to “Aje” to the excitement of revelers. But Ali doesn’t sing for long, he exited the stage no sooner than “Aje” comes to an end.

The audience is confused. Murmuring and chants soon envelopes the arena. But Ali Kiba didn’t give a damn, he left the stage anyway.

The stage is then cleared of all the musical instruments and a guy from Chris Brown’s team announces Breezy will be taking to the stage in 15 minutes time.

15 minutes later, Chris Brown appears on stage and performs for one and a half hour. Immediately he exits the stage, Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho and his Kilifi counterpart came to greet revelers.
Joho then calls back Ali Kiba on stage. 10 minutes pass by then the Bongo singer finally reappears on stage. He takes the mic and does revelers some justice.
