Kenyan music lovers and Otile Brown’s fans last week thronged social media to congratulate the ‘Pakate’ hitmaker for landing a mouth watering music deal courtesy of Tanzanian artist Ali Kiba. This came barely a week after the interweb was filled with news about Ali Kiba setting up his own record label and signing a couple of artists including some from Kenya.

Ali kiba made the revelation himself in an interview with a Tanzanian radio station when he was asked if he has ever supported any up and coming artist like his competitor, Diamond has done. In a swift response, the Chekecha hitmaker said that he has his own record label that has signed numerous artists among them, Otile Brown and Mombasa’s finest Brown Mauzo.
Confirming the news, Brown Mauzo in a phone interview with a top Kenyan radio presenter corroborated the news, stating that he has been signed by Ali Kiba who he has been working with and will be working with in future. However, Mauzo said that the deal is not yet final since they are at the talking stage and will inform his fans when the deal is completely sealed.
