Tanzania’s heavyweight rapper Chidi Benz ,just like Ray C is one of the most talented rappers whose superstardom and talents went to the gutters thanks to drug abuse. The rapper, famed for numerous hits like Chuma Ft Rayvanny and Jiachie lost it to drug addiction a couple of years ago, but was saved by the public and fellow celebrities including Nonini who rescued him from jaws of heroin abuse.
Chidi got better and even made a comeback but later backslided to his old ways. It took the intervention of Diamond Platnumz’s manager, Sallam Sk and other well-wishers to bring back the massive rap talent in him. The rapper spent some months at the Bagamoyo Rescue Center in Tanzania and was discharged after a while, sober and ready to reclaim his title.
However, in a surprising turn of events, the rapper is back to his old ways. Chidi Benz is back to taking drugs, something that has brought disconnected him from his well-wishers. Videos doing rounds on social media show the rapper in a bad state and high as a kite. Tanzanians and the East African community have come out in large numbers to address his issue with quite a substantial number of social media users expressing their disappointment in him.
