Mary J. Blige Ordered to Pay $30,000 a Month to estranged husband

Mary J. Blige has been ordered to pay her estranged husband Martin “Kendu” Isaacs $30,000/month in temporary spousal support.

The singer who filed for divorce in July 2016 after 12 years of marriage , will have to pay Isaacs dating back to September, according to E! Online.

Isaacs originally requested for $129,319 per month, but a judge ordered a lot less be paid.

In April, Blige claimed in court documents that Isaacs spent more than $420,000 during their marriage on “travel charges” that involved his girlfriend, not her.

Blige also claimed that Isaacs drives a Mercedes that she pre-paid the lease on and that he refuses to turn over possession of her “Grammy and other achievement awards.”

The singer, who is presently involved in a divorce battle, stunned as she attended the Power Stylists Dinner in Los Angeles on Tuesday.

The Family Affair crooner, wowed in a short playsuit which showed her thigh tattoo.

Mary J. Blige’s estranged husband demands almost $130K per month in spousal support

Mary J. Blige's estranged husband, Martin Isaacs, is demanding a whole lot of money from her for a monthly spousal support as part of their divorce settlement.

Martin Isaacs who was Mary J's manager, filed for temporary spousal support, and according to the documents he filed, he says $129,319 per month is a reasonable amount to maintain his lifestyle.
His reason being that Mary J was the only breadwinner during their almost 13-year marriage and got him used to their lavish lifestyle. Adding that Mary J. earned between $1.5 to $5.1 million over the last 2 years.

He said he hasn't made any money since Mary fired him as her manager shortly after she filed for divorce. Even though the couple signed a Prep before they got married, Martin says it doesn't count because he signed it without a lawyer. 

He also said Mary J has given him $85k since they separated.

Mary J. Blige’s divorce from her former manager and now estranged husband Martin “Kendu” Isaacs looks like it's going to be nasty. Kendu has responded to her divorce petition by asking for spousal support and financial assistance for lawyer fees.

According to TMZ, Kendu asked for spousal support from the legendary singer whom he was married to from December 2003 to July 2016.

While they were married, Mary J. was quiet to the media about her marriage but praised Kendu for helping her deal with some of her past demons. 

In 2007,she told Parade:

“We met when I hated men. … After I met him, everything changed in my life”. “He was the first person to ever challenge what I did: ‘Why are you drinking? Why do you hate yourself? You don’t need to be around people who tear you down. You’re beautiful, Mary.’ He was the first man to ever tell me that.”
