Socialite Vera Sidika has defended her lack of visibility as her BFF Ugandan socialite Zari Hassan mourned the death of her ex-husband Ivan Ssemwanga.

Fans have questioned why Zari’s friends abandoned her at her hour of need.

In footages and pictures of the funeral, Zari is seen leaning on her eldest son Pinto as she cried.

Vera Sidika took to Instagram to respond to the accusation of not being a good friend.

She explained that she could not get through to Zari despite efforts of using her close friends

“I tried her through her other close friends, no luck either. Kindly guys stop accusing me for (sic) being a bad friend,” wrote Vera.

After spending months in Dubai with her Nigerian boyfriend enjoying each other’s company, Kenya’s illest socialite has flown to America for a new job.

Vera Sidika has been without a ‘real job’ for months ever since she quit Nairobi Diaries. The bumful socialite explored her talent in acting when she joined the socialites’ reality show for its first season.

Vera quit Nairobi Diaries in February 2016 as the second season premiered. In an interview with Moi University’s Kimani Mbugua, Vera stated that most of the other ‘upcoming’ socialites were taking advantage of her fame to stay relevant in the industry.

The bootyful socialite further revealed that she was also going to move on and come up with her own show.

And true to her words, Vera is casting for yet another reality show in New York City. The socialite didn’t go to the nitty-gritty of the new show but she however disclosed that the reality show was a being produced by Mina TV Africa.
