Wema ampongeza Diamond! After Diamond Platnumz winning three awards in AFRIMA, this is what Wema Sepetu wrote

In a rare display of neat patriotism, Wema Sepetu congratulated her singer ex, Diamond Platnumz, for winning three awards in the All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) which was held in Lagos, Nigeria last Sunday.
Diamond Platnumz was crowned East Africa’s Best Male Artiste, Best Afro Pop Artiste in Africa and won an accolade for Best Song of the Year for his blockbuster hit Utanipenda.
Wema Sepetu took to her Instagram page Monday to congratulate Diamond for his laudable representation of Tanzania.
Attaching a photo showing Diamond Platnumz donned in a vintage shirt, a cowboy hat and vintage flip-up sunglasses, Wema wrote:
“Makofi matatu kwa tuzo tatu, Tanzania’s pride. Sema picha hii ni kali sana… Utasema sio wa Tandale…Congrats once again (Let’s give three hand claps (to Diamond Platnumz) for winning three awards in AFRIMA. (He is) Tanzania’s pride. The picture is so breathtaking that you might mistake him for an artiste born out of Tandale. Congratulations once again).
Fans right away took to Wema’s timeline to commend her for being patriotic.
Arwat Umar wrote: “You have a very clean heart Wema.”
George wrote: “Your gesture has made me very happy. That explains why you are always on top of your game.”
One online user, Victor Kumenya, suggested to Wema that she gets back together with Diamond.
Since Wema Sepetu and Diamond Platnumz’s relationship reached its nadir in November, 2014, fans across the East African divide speculated that the two would not talk to each other, let alone approve of each other’s achievements and deftness in their respective fields.
However, in June, 2016 Diamond Platnumz came out to laud Wema for showing love and patriotism toward her country by supporting his work and that of other Tanzanian artistes signed under Diamond Platnumz’s WCB Records stable.
Speaking on EATV’s Friday Night Live on June 3, Diamond Platnumz said he understood why Wema Sepetu was hostile toward him, shortly after they split.
“There comes a time when one realizes there is no need to hate on each other. I think hostility crops when one thinks you are still connected to another and there is a possibility of getting back together. However, when one acknowledges that you cannot rekindle lost love, he or she moves on. I think she (Wema Sepetu) has come to terms with that.
“I saw she posted on social media urging fans to vote for me in the BET Awards. She also shared Rich Mavoko’s promo of a song he has recorded under WCB Records stable. I am happy with her move. I don’t see why artists should differ,” Diamond said.
That came on the backdrop of speculations that Diamond Platnumz’s family, especially his mother Sanura ‘Sandra’ Kassim, prefers Wema Sepetu to the singer’s current partner Zari Hassan.
This speculation was fueled further in September when Diamond Platnumz’s mother sent Wema Sepetu a birthday message and ignored Zari Hassan who had celebrated her birthday few days before.
For long, rumours have been rife that Mama Diamond is not in good terms with Zari Hassan because the latter wants to control Diamond’s family – and Sanura Kassim is not impressed.
Diamond, nonetheless, maintains that Zari and his mother are good friends.
