President Trump Questions How Classified Info Leaked

Leading up to the Senate testimony of former acting Attorney General Sally Yates, President Trump tweeted that Yates should be asked about leaked information to newspapers.

The President was referencing a Washington Post story that revealed classified information about former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn.

Yates was ultimately asked during the Senate subcommittee how classified information about Flynn was leaked. She responded that said she did not know.

When asked about the tweet, Press Secretary Spicer said that the media shouldn’t read too much into the tweet.

“I think the tweet speaks for itself,” Press Secretary Spicer said, responding to a question from One America News.

Spicer was also asked by One America News whether or not President Trump felt Yates was a trustworthy source of information. The Press Secretary said that was up to the United States Senate to decide.
