Several Manchester United fans could be seen waving anti-Louis van Gaal banners during at Old Trafford on Tuesday night.
Supporters have, on the whole, held back from protesting over the course of a disappointing season for the Red Devils, but many felt the need to air their views on the final day of the campaign against Bournemouth.
There were also a large number of empty seats at the stadium for the match after it was rearranged following a bomb scare at the weekend.
A goal from Wayne Rooney, the forward’s 100th league goal at Old Trafford, put Van Gaal’s side 1-0 up in the first-half.
If United were to lose the match, it would be the side’s worst season in the history of the Premier League.
