Bongo Flava has always seen a never ending competition between popular crooners Ali Kiba and Diamond Platnumz, who have been battling it out for the title of the real Tanzanian ‘Simba’. Their rivalry has more than enough times manifested itself in the public domain, leaving Tanzanians divided and spoilt for choice. Idris Sultan, another Tanzanian celebrity with a pinch of hate towards Diamond Platnumz, recently ‘ganged’ up with Ali Kiba as he sidelined the ‘Salome’ hitmaker and his music.
While speaking in an interview after hosting the Abryanz Style and Fashion Awards in Kampala,Uganda ,the BBA Hotshot winner picked Ali Kiba as his favorite Tanzanian artist over Diamond Platnumz when he was asked who is better.
‘’Well they are both good and have different characters however Ali Kiba sings better but Diamond Hustles more ,a thing that makes him more money but they are all my good friends..’’Idris said.Diamond Platnumz’s fans across East Africa did not take Idris’s choice lightly as they took to trolling him, claiming he sidelined Diamond Platnumz because he was jealous.
It should be noted that Diamond dated Wema Sepetu way before the Tanzanian actress hooked up with Idris, only to drop him for an upcoming model.
